Changing Time Stamp on Files

The time stamp on files changes.
When I synchronize files between two computers - the software updates only
the files that are newer than the existing. For some unknown reason, all of
the files on one computer are shown as exactly one hour older, than the
back-up computer. This seems to happen around the time it automatically
adjusts for daylight savings time. I have tried various combinations of time
setting, both with and without automatic daylight savings time adjustment,
but I can not seem to duplicate the problem.

Both the laptop and the desktop are using Windows XP professional, but the
problem also occurred when using Windows 2000.

Is there a setting that is missing, or can be made to resolve this issue?

Haven't seen this before, but a couple of things that come
to mind -- make sure the timezone is set correctly and make
sure the BIOS time is correct (go into the BIOS at boot
time and double check it there). Sounds like one of those
"duh!" things -- the hard part is getting to "duh!" ;-)

Thank you for the info, but The time zone and automatic daylight savings
settings are the same, and I checked the bios time, and it is the same
(within a few seconds).
The files time stamp changes by exactly 1 hour. The original files were
copied to the backup drive, and the update looks at the time stamp to
determine the latest version. Even files that have not been modified or
accessed are now "newer" on the backup drive by 1 hour.
