changing the windows font?

After a reinstall of Windowns XP Home, my standard font for windows seems
really hazy. it doesn't look sharp, and looks like 1986 computer style....is
there a way/place i can change the font used by all programs? a standard
font? it's my icons, it's webpages, programs, everything!
 
You also need to install the drivers of your system. For example, DELL
normally gives you a CD containing all the drivers you will need.

If you have the correct video drivers loaded, look at the Display
Properties, Appearance, Effects, Check mark "Use following
method........" and use Cleartype if LCD and Standard if CRT.
