I changed the forceguest to "0" in the registry but the setting does not save. Everytime that I re-boot my pc something is changing forceguest back on ("1"). Is there another setting that I need to change? I don't have any policies running on this machine. But to make sure I unplugged my network cable just in case and re-booted the machine. Something still changed the forceguest back to "1". Any suggestions would be helpful...thanks

Hi

Try this:

1. Open the Local Security Policy console in the Administrative Tools folder.

2. Browse down to: Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options.

3. Double-click on the Network Access: Sharing And Security Model For Local
Accounts.

4. If it is set to "Guest Only" change the settings to Classic.

I've tried changing it using the Security Policy. It stll changes
back to "Guest Only" mode after I re-boot. Something is forcing it
to change back and I have no ideal what is causing it. I've also
tried making the change via the registry and it still reverts back
after every re-boot.

Strange, I have never seen/heard about this happening before...
