Changing the font in a check box

I'm trying to change the font in a check box created from the 'Forms
Toolbar', is it possible to change it and if it is how can i go about doing
so?

You can't change the font in a Forms check box.

You *can* change the font in a Control toolbox check box.
 
That's what I thought, is there a way to make the lines in a Control Toolbar
check box thiner?

Not sure I know what lines you're referring to? Do you mean the check box
itself? If so, there's not much of a choice. In Properites>SpecialEffect you
can select either a "sunken" or "flat" appearance. The "sunken" selection
has "thinner" lines.
