Changing target of hyperlink in received e-mail text

When I click on a hyperlink in received e-mail text, it opens up my IE
browser to my home page...not to the site the hyperlink is supposed to go to.
Appreciate any help on how to fix this.

Check the definition of the Open action for the "URL:HyperText Transfer
Protocol" file type.
