Why dont hyperlinks embedded in e-mail messages I receive work?

I'm using Outlook 2007 and IE. When I click hyperlinks embedded in e-mails I
receive, I get an error telling me that the operation was cancelled due to
restrictions on my computer, and to contact the system administrator. There
is no system administrator (only me!) and no restrictions I know of. This
did not used to happen, and still does not happen with e-mails received in
programs other than Outlook. Any advice?

Reset your browser and reassign it as the default in Windows via Start->
Default Programs (or Set Program Access and Defaults in Windows XP).
