Changing Style Effects Entire Document

When I highlight an entire line to make it either bold, italic or underlined,
the entire document becomes Bold as well as ALL of the styles. This happens
in ALL documents opened and any new documents. I've tried repairing and even
re-instlling Office, but to no avail. Any ideas? It's appreciated.
