Hi All,

How can I cange the color and appearance of start menu in windows xp instead
of themes?

For example I want change the color to purple and the caption of Start
botton to my own word. Also I want to change the caption of start menu from
Windows XP Proffessional to my own caption and change its background image to
my favorite image.

Thanks in advance

Bijan K.

Hi Bijan,

This is not a built-in capability, but there are third party products that
can do this for you. Otherwise, you'd need a hex editor and some pretty good
knowledge to do it manually. Search google.com for XP skins.

Thanks for your attention Rick,
As the last question is there any way to change it by manipulating the
registery?

Also thank you for your notice.
