changing specific excel file icon

Hi all,
Is that possible to change excel icon for a specific file.Any help
will be greatly apreciated.Thanks

in your Windows Explorer:
- create a shortcut to your Excel file (*.lnk file)
- right-click on this shortcut and choose 'Properties'
- In the middle tab (Windows 2000) choose 'change symbol'

I am not entirely sure what you mean by "for a specific
file" but to customize icons in excel - right click the
tool bar > click customize. click the commands tab. click
the icon you wish to change then on the customize form,
click modify selection button. you will get a list of ways
to modify. take you pick.

Not for a specific file. Only for Excel files in general.

You can always create a shortcut to the file and use whatever Icon you want
for the shortcut.
