Changing Screen Resolution--PLEASE HELP!

M

Monty

my screen resolution is the lowest possible and it's not
responding when I plug in the changes. The slider bar
won't even move! When I turn on my computer, Windows
asks if I want to adjust the screen resolutions quality
automatically. Even when I do this, my resolution
remains at the lowest rating.

I've tried so many things...please help.

This definitely sounds like you don't have the correct video driver
installed. Open up the device manager, by going into the Control Panel and
select System, then select the Hardware tab, then click the Device Manager
button.

Once inside the Device Manager look at the "Display adapters" section of the
tree view. Does the item below this match your video card? If not go to
your card or computer manufacture site and download the latest driver.

You might be able to run Windows Update and also get a driver for your video
card if it is a NVIDIA or ATI card.
