Changing program short cut icon

Right click the icon\program, Click Properties > Change
Icon.

I tried that.
But that does allow you to select a jpeg file. The file
has to be 'a valid icon' file. Is there a way to convert
jpeg to icon file?

Try this, Type in the "Look for icons in this file":
%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll, there are a bunch
there, hope this helps. Also right click on a bunch of
different icons> Properties>Change Icon, more there, just
remember or copy the path and paste in the field for what
icon you want to change.

Also, in "Search", "All files and folders" Type: "*.ico,"
(without quotes) you will find a bunch more. Copy and
paste the path again in the field of your icon\program.
