Changing picture size in emails

Our computer has Windows Millenium edition on it with the Microsoft Office
2000 upgrade (something like that). I've been trying to email some pictures,
but when I email them the pictures are huge. How do you change the size of
the picture so when I email it it turns out smaller? I don't have any
new-fangled programs for pictures on my computer other than Kodak EasyShare,
where I haven't figured out how to change picture size. I also have some
kind of imaging for the computer, but you can't change picture size there
either. I need help.
