Changing Passwords

F

Frustrated

Windows XP is making me change my entrance password about
every month now. I cannot keep on remembering all the
passwords. It is my computer, but my son set it up and set
himself up as administrator since he is computer literate
and I am not. How can it be set up for me to be a
co-administrator so that I do not have the nuisance of
changing the password to gain access to my computer.

Hey,

You can't actually make yourself an Administrator from a Limited Account
unless you know the Administrator password, or an Administrator account and
password. Your best bet is to ask your Son to logon as Administrator and
update your account. Or on the other hand you could get him to remove the
Maximum Password Expiry option, which will stop XP asking you to change your
password.

Hope this helps
