Changing password in AD not working at workstation

When I successfully change a user's account password in AD on the Domain controller, the users account does not recognize the change and won't allow me to log on.
 
How many DCs do you have? You should verify that AD replication is
functioning. If it is not working the client may be authenticating against
a DC that has not received the users new password and that will cause logons
to fail. What error does the user receive when attempting to logon?
