Changing my default calender

M

Michael

I got the message on why my reminders don't fire in my
personal folder calender (only fire in default calender).
But I have a follow up.

I was using my computer with a school network, but now
that I have graduated and left school, I no longer have
access to this network and thus when I try to open the
default calender, I am given the message:

"Unable to display the folder. The information store
could not be opened."

This is why I was using a calender in my personal files.
Is there any way that I can make my personal file calender
the default calender (and thus enable my reminders to
fire)? If not, how can I change my settings so that the
default calender is not tied to the now gone network and I
can view and use my default calender offline?

You'd need to make the set of personal folders your default mail store.
What version of Outlook are you using, and if 98 or 2000, what mail
support mode? If you're not sure, look at the second line of Help |
About Microsoft Outlook -- it should say "Internet Mail Only" or
"Corporate/Workgroup". (Outlook 97, 2002, and 2003 don't have separate
modes.)
