syncing outlook calender with pda with hotmail

Salim

I'm a home user of outlook 2007 and would like to merge my outlook calender
with my phone/pda with hotmail.

The default calender in outlook can easily be synced with the phone/pda. The
difficulties arise when trying to sync hotmail with outlook (via the
extender).

Using the extender I can see the hotmail calenders in outlook - but they do
not populate the default calender - thus hotmail is not synced through to the
pda/phone. The default calender already contains a lot of exisiting entries.

Is there any way to merge /copy entries between the hotmail calender and the
outlook calender?--

You can only sync the default outlook calendar using active sync. Do you
want/need two separate calendars? If not, you could merge the outlook
calendar with hotmail, then set the hotmail data file as the default message
store. You'll need rules to keep pop3 messages from mixing with the hotmail
messages though.

to merge, switch the calendar to By category view, select all then drag to
or copy and paste on the hotmail calendar folder.
