Hello,
I would prefer if Windows XP 64 bit wrote all temporarely stuff to a special
FileDisk Image (Created with the tool called FileDisk) to prevent massive
fragmentation by internet explorer and installation programs.
I have created a special FileDisk and mounted it as T:\
The special folder should be located at T:\Temp.
I changed the user and system enviroment variables to point to this new
folder.
However this causes problems with installation programs like InstallShield
and Windows Installer.
Error 1607 (InstallShield) and Error 2203 (Windows Installer)
What permissions do I need to set for T:\Temp for these installation
programs to work ?
Is it possible to copy the security settings from C:\Windows\Temp to T:\Temp
?
Bye,
Skybuck.
