Hi, what is this directory:

C:\WINDOWS\TEMP

and why do i have it? because it contains 3 folders (cookies, History and
Temporary Internet Files), which have nothing in them, except a index file.

I thought the above files are meant to be in documents and settings etc? can
i delete the above directory.

regards

I don't recommend you to delete that folder directly... but you could delete
the folders inside. Have a nice year ;)

This is the primary Temp Folder for the older Windows versions such as Win98. It
still gets used once in a great while so leave it. You are correct that WinXP uses
the Documents and Settings folder for this type of thing now.
