Hi,

I have a network setup of 2 Win2k domain controllers (DC1 and DC2) DC1 is my
primary DC, DNS and DHCP, while DC2 is DC and DNS server.

There is a requirement to change the IP address on my network, which
effectively means that I need to change the IP Address on my servers too.
Can I change the IP Address directly without affecting my network/domain?
Can someone tell me the correct procedure to do the same?

Thanks in Advance,
Harish

Hi,

I had to move from a Class C to a Class B because I ran out of IP’s.
If you have DHCP it is pretty easy. Change the DC’s first and then
change the Scope in DHCP. Make sure your DNS gets changed though. You
will need to had a reverse lookup zone with your new IP Range. Just
do it when no one is trying to access the network.

Cheers,

Lara
