Changing from XP to 2000Pro

Microsoft can be infuriating.
I want to change the OS of one of my PCs from XP(Home edn) toWin2k (Pro)..
But when I load the Win2K CD I get :-

"This CD-ROM is from an older version of Windows than the one you are
presently using.
Setup functionality from this disk will be disabled."

Who do Microsoft think they are that they can dictate to me which OS I use ?
Does anyone know how to get round this lunacy ?

Format the hard drive then install W2K. Nobody is telling you what OS you
have to use.

OPEN MOUTH, INSERT FOOT!

Well DUH, why didn't Microsoft come to your house and update your Windows 2000 CD to recognize a version of Windows that was released after it was. SHAME ON THEM!!!

You can format your disk and install W2k with no problem. However, it is much easier to show your true personality by blaming Microsoft when TPLBTCATC!

They don't. BUt if you want to install an older version you must
format the disk and start over.

Windows 2000 Pro has more patches than a 20 year old pair of Levi's.

Good Luck!
