Changing from Hotmail to Outlook to recieve e-mail.

I have been using Hotmail for some time now, but recently
loaded Office 2000 Premium SR1 so that I could use
Outlook. I am having a problem getting the mail to go to
Outlook. It still wants to default to Hotmail even though
I have changed the settings. What did I miss?
 
What kind of account are you trying to receive mail from with Outlook? If
it's Hotmail still, Outlook 2000 can't natively handle the HTTP format that
Hotmail uses...you'd need a workaround or a 3rd party app.
