Changing field size on a form

I cannot change the properties of a field for a report when in design view.
I need to be able to enter a phone number and everytime I try it gives me an
error.I think I need to change the field size however there is no field size
option in properties. I've been working on this single problem for an hour
and it's driving me crazy! Any help would be appreciated.

If the field size needs to be changed it can be done in table design
