Changing Domain Names

My company is on the verge fo changing our domain name. We are being
divested into a seperate company. The people rejoice while IT begs for
mercy. My question is this, how do I change the domain name association for
3500 machines once we stand up our new active directory? Please god tell me
that we don't have to do this one by one.

The AD domain doesn't have to be the same as the Internet domain. The two
are largely unrelated.

Uh, Right. It is the AD name that will be changing. Our parent company is
keeping it but we will have to have our own now. Any other ideas?
