Changing default outlook forms

R. Jayawardane

Hi everybody,

I'v created a new custom form based on IPM.Note baseclass
to use for our internal office mail purposes. I'v
published it in the Inbox(Mailbox folder).

Using 'Outlook Forms Administrator' utility I replaced
the default outlook mail form with my custom form. Updated
the registry also with the new entries created by this
utility.

But still when I compose a new mail message it gives me
the default outlook mail form instead of my custom form.

Can anybody help me, so that when I create a new mail
message my custom form is automatically loaded instead of
the default outlook form? Your help is highly appreciated.

If you have Outlook 2000 or 2002, you can make a registry change to
substitute your custom form for the default form. See
http://www.slipstick.com/dev/newdefaultform.htm#changedefault . I don't
know of any particular problems doing this unless you're using custom
ActiveX controls on your form.
