Changing default download folder

How do you change the folder where a selected download
goes? My Win 2000 Pro downloads to a temp folder and I
want to direct it to a specific folder.

You don't say what you are using to download. However, most most browsers /
ftp agents use the standard windoze Save As dialogue. This defaults to the
last location you saved to. You can change the location by clicking on the
arrow next to the Save in: dropdown box and selecting a new location.
