Changing Cell margins in excel

Is there a way to change cell margins in excel. i have tried using the format
tab and indent but tis will not change the vertical alignment like you can in
word?

There is no vertical indent for cells.

About the best you can do is vertical>top, bottom or center and adjust row
heights.
