Changing author in FP2002

Is there any way of the changing the author of a web page globally. I
am always getting conflicts when I publish due to the author being
different. Somehow my hosting company has inserted their own name as a
co-author on many of my pages.

By any chance are these pages with
the other "author" pages that you've edited
live on the server from another machine ????
When you edit live on the server from another machine,
the author gets changed to the user name of the machine
you log on with.
This is common.

The Author field reflects the user account that last
updated the page. To change it, you would have to open and
save each page.

Ok, food for thought;
Although the "prompts" seem annoying when
publishing, they serve a purpose and that is to
remind you that you are about to overwrite a
page that has been edited from another location.

So, if you made a huge change to a page on the server version
from location A and then went to location B and made a
minor change to the same page in the local version and
then published, if you were not prompted you would
overwrite/eliminate your major change.
I consider it a handy reminder.

A quick way to do that is apply either a theme, linked css file, or shared borders to all pages,
- then if you don't need them remove them
FP will resave all html files in the web w/ the current user ID
