Hi everyone, and thanks in advance for any help, I am having a problem with
XP after installing sp2. I get to the XP Logo screen and it stops, I am
trying to do the workaround.
Cure...
Enter mainboard BIOS and "disable" L1/L2 cache
then enter system and "Uninstall SP2".

I can't find L1/L2 cache in the BIOS, what screen do I look under and what
is it called? I have an intel pentium 4 processor with an 865 PERL
motherboard. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

The BIOS would have nothing to do with the issue, ecspecially with that board.
Try installing xp cd,boot to xp cd,recovery, press enter for password, then
type:
CHKDSK C: /R When its thru,type:EXIT Let xp start-up,remove cd.You could
try tapping the F8 key on starting computer, then select,safe-mode with net-
working,then enter as administrator,but the 1st recomend is ecential.Defrag
the hd when xp opens.

Thank you Andrew, I tried to reply but it went to a different link, so I am
trying again. I did try going in with Safe mode, wouldn't work. I will try
the cd repair, and see if that helps, any other suggestions greatly
appreciated.
