changing a presentation

If you have a fully operating version of PowerPoint (vs. just the viewer) you
can edit the presentation if it is not password protected (2003) or marked as
final (2007).

If either of the latter apply, you will need to return the presentation to
the originator for edits.

Hi my wife has been sent by email a presentation which she needs to change..
I think the file is a readme only file..Is there anyway to make the
amendments, or do we need to return the originator?

Open the file (in Read-Only Mode) and then do a Save-As and give it a
different name....

Hi

Just to expand on Sandy's reply, if it is in the .pps or .ppsx format you
will need to open PowerPoint then use the open command to open the
presentation in edit mode rather than just double click the file.
