Changes in XP

I lost my taskbar on tne left as well as my IM messenger (trillian) . At
pretty much the same time, my PC (DELL Dimension 4100) started to display in
what looks like safe mode, but with all the functions intact, just huge and
distorted fonts and graphics. it seems to start up fine, but as soon as it
connects to my DSL server the srceen changes to the mode described above. My
system restore is not resetting at all and neither are turning off the PC,
restarting etc. helping in any way.Oh, My PC number and update version all of
a sudden appeared in the right corner. Any suggestion? I would be most
grateful. Ilse
 
Please tell me how to do this. Will look online in the interim to find
anything on this subject. Thanks, Ilse
 
Sorry about that. To do so, right click My
Computer/Properties/Hardware/Device Manager. Open Display Adapter/Double
click the one in question/Driver Tab/Roll back driver.
