Unfortunately no. The only way to change the windows language is to
purchase a copy of XP in at language.

I don't know if this would be practical for you, but I am pretty sure that
you can install a spanish copy of XP using your original key (the one you
have for the english version) . In fact, I have seen it been done. It is the
same thing if you loose your windows xp disk, you can use another one to
reinstall with the original key. Do anybody know it this is legal?

You cannot upgrade or convert from one language version of the OS to
another, so you'll have to purchase and use the full version of WinXP
(in whatever language you want) to perform a clean installation.

I rather doubt it's even possible. I'd be really interested in the
specifics of the one instance in which you say it worked.

Product Keys are bound to the specific type and language of
CD/license (OEM, Volume, retail, full, or Upgrade) with which they are
purchased. For example, a WinXP Home OEM Product Key won't work for any
retail version of WinXP Home, or for any version of WinXP Pro, and vice
versa. An upgrade's Product Key cannot be used with a full version CD,
and vice versa. An OEM Product Key will not work to install a retail
product. An Italian Product Key will not work with an English CD.
Bottom line: Product Keys and CD types cannot be mixed & matched.

I bought an english instance of WinXP PRO by mystake while I wanted a french
version. I returned to the seller which did not have a french copy with a
windows vista coupon. He told me I could install from a french version CD of
XP Pro using the key that came with the english version. I did this and it
worked.

PS

At the end, I still don't get what I wanted. I cared about the Vista coupon
now only because I wanted a 64bit version of the OS. When I filled the
on-line form to reclaim it, I got a confirmation indicating that I would get
a 32 bit version. Even if I checked carefully on Microsoft site and on other
sites, I haven't seen anywhere that there would be 32 bit version and 64 bit
version. It is not written at all on the coupon either. After the fact, it
might be easy to say that it is obvious that they are different but that is
not enough. I don't buy windows XP very often and this should have been made
clear on MS windows vista site. Also, the best place I could get information
about Windows Vista and to figure out what I needed was on Wikipedia, not on
Microsoft sites.

I have a Spanish version of XP and would like to exchange it for an English
version. Are you interested? JP
