change view by list

In Outlook 2003, I used to be able to change the view by LEFT clicking on the
heading (NOT right, but Left mouse click) and this would bring down a bunch
of chouses that I could then choose from and view the email by things like
date, From, etc. (the usual). This was the default way outlook worked I
believe, but now I have to left click on the heading itself that I want to
order by and it no longer brings up a list to choose from, but orders it by
that heading. I liked the default method, but don’t know how to reset it.

Left clicking a column header has always Sorted by that column. Right
clicking column headers (in most parts of Outlook) will bring up a menu.
