change the "from" email address

Can I change the "From" address when sending in Outlook?
If sending a message to a website and don't want them to
have my primary email address, can I send an "alias"
address so I don't get spam from them?

You can change the From address in the properties of your email account, but
it won't accomplish what you think it will.
Your email address is contained in the header of the email and will be just
as discoverable.
