Frank

Hi,

I`ve got to change 200 Clients from a static TCP/IP
configuration to DHCP.
I want to handle the Regestry remote. But threre are many
Keys to change and Im not shure if that is the right way
to do.
Maybe somebody can give me any tip or know some easy Tools
to do it.

Thanks in Advance

Your solution got my interest. Might you have a tip
or trick for my problem with network cards?

====================================
Here is my WIN2k spesific problem:

On my NT4 box, my network card would show up
as my preset IP address when offline; for
example 10.0.0.5 / 255.255.255.0 ( ipconfig /all )

My windows 2000 machine does not, and instead shows
the loopback address of 127.0.0.1 when the machine is
off the network. This is a major pain when I try to use
licensed software which looks for the hostname and IP.

How can I fix this? I have licensed software which
expects to see 10.0.0.5 and will fail to start when
my system is off-line (I have a Win2k server laptop)

I really don't want to have two license keys just to carry
my laptop to someone's cubicle to do a quick demo.

Thanks in advance -

Bill

Hi Jerold,

NetSH is a good Idea, but I forget to say that the WS are
NT 4. I change the Regestry Keys now, but DHCP dont give
me a new IP-Adress. Maybe I forget something.
Have somebody any better Ideas?

Thanks, Frank
