change tab order in form header for combobox field from the detail

The cursor goes to the first field in the details view. The user wants it to
go to the form header where there is an unbound search field and a command
button. I found the properties tab in the form header. There is the button
for the search and the combo box field. The tab property sets the custom
order which is just those two items. I tried putting the combo box field
before the label.

What do I have to do to get the cursor to go into that search field combo
box instead of the first field in the details view?

I'm just going to put all the fields in form detail and hopefully that will
fix the tab order.
