Change product key in windows 2000

Adrian C.

Hello.

Can the product key be changed after a windows 2000 installation?
I've tried everything, changing SID, using sysprep (with product
key=xxxx in the .inf file)... nothing seems to make it request a new
product key.

Microsoft support says it's not possible, but somehow i doubt it.
Also tried the Magic Beans Dontknowwhat doesn't work with Win2k.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Adrian.

There is only one workstation version of Windows 2000, Windows 2000
Professional. No such thing as Home Editions with Windows 2000. ;-)
