Change printer settings from 'Draft' to 'Normal'

Hi.

My report requires the printer settings to be normal so that a company logo
is printed out.
Apart from these reports I would like to keep the printer to print in draft
mode to save some ink...

Can I change these settings via vba code - if so how ??

Thanks for any input.

You might try adding a printer which is a copy of the original printer. Set
one of your printers to be "normal" and the other printer to be "draft" in
the printer settings. In the page setup of your report, select the printer
which is appropriate for the type of report (either the draft version or the
normal version).

Thanks Linda.

sory for not answering ... had a few other things to do ....

what you suggest sounds interesting .... do you mean a copy in the windows
system and then call that one ?? good idea!

for now I just call the default printer (printer1) how would I set it to a
different one (printer2) .... the copied one ?

exactly - printer 2 would have different settings than your default even
though it is the same printer.

To set up another printer as a copy of the first (to start with --- before
you modify the properties), bring up the Windows printer list, right-click
the one you have in mind (printer1, I suppose) then select (left-click)
"Copy". Now in a blank area of the page right-click and select paste.
It'll paste as something probably named "Copy of Printer1" so rename it
(right-click, etc. etc.) then set its properties.

But don't rush out an buy extra ink cartridges -:)
