Brian
I think I know where you're going with your questions, so I'll try to
respond accordingly.
File>Print doesn't permanently change the print options. It's what I do now,
but I have to do it every time I open the program. It only lasts until I
close Outlook, and I have to re-do it next time I open the application.
That's what I'm trying to avoid.
Outlook is what I'm concentrating on for now, although I would like the same
settings for IE. The settings I need for Excel, Word and other applications
are different. I have created a copy of my printer driver that I use
especially for Outlook. I have saved the printer preferences noted in my
original post (2-sided, 2 pages per sheet, landscape orientation) in that
copy of the printer driver and use it from Outlook. While Outlook honors the
first two settings THAT I HAVE CHANGED IN THE PRINTER DRIVER, it insists on a portrait orientation for some reason UNTIL I CHANGE THE SETTINGS IN FILE>PRINT. IE does the same thing.
At a minimum, I would like to *permanently* change Outlook's (and IE's)
default setting to landscape orientation SINCE OUTLOOK REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE LANDSCAPE OPTION IS SELECTED IN THE PRINTER DRIVER. If I can make the other two changes, that would be nice too. THE OTHER TWO CHANGES ARE LESS IMPORTANT TO ME, HOWEVER, BECAUSE OUTLOOK HONORS THE PRINTER DRIVER SETTINGS FOR THEM.
