Change font size of footer page numbers

How do I change the font size of the footer page numbers? Once I get to page
100, the second '0' drops down to the next line so it looks like this:
10
0

rather than like this:
100

Go to your slide master
Highlight the text in the footer placeholder
right click and select Font
There you can change your Font size for the footer
---if you want, you also have the opportunity to set it as your default
while you're there.
