Change folder 'View'

Default folder setting (Windows XP Hone Edition) in 'View'
menu is 'Tiles'
Would like to have 'List' view for foldersbut right click
menu change always reverts to 'Tiles'. have tried in vain
to find way of changing setting but no luck.

Tools - Folder Options - View - Apply To All Folders (Reset if it gets confused)
