Change duration time of a picture displayed

Is there a way to individually change the time a picture displays ? I am
trying to synch a sound track with words to a series of pictures I want to
use, and I can calculate how long I want a picture to display while the sound
track is playing.

However I can't find a way of changing the duration time a picture displays,
other than the generic one which changes the display time for all pictures. I
want ifferent pictures to display for different durations of time.

You can change the duration for each clip
manually. Move your pointer around on the
edge of a clip until you see a double red
arrow. Now drag the double red arrow...
you'll see a tooltip that shows the duration
changing.
