i scanned my job resume and saved as a publisher document, but i need it
saved in word as some would be employers specify this when emailing. how do
i change it without any dramas

If you don't have an electronic copy, you're going to have "drama". You need
to scan it in with OCR software into Word and then go in, fix the format,
and CAREFULLY proofread the results.

I have to ask this: Why in the world would you put your resume in Publisher
format? I absolutely love Publisher (surprise!) but there's no way in Hades
that I'd store my resume in that format. I've never seen a place that
accepts a Publisher document. I've seen .txt, .doc., and the rare .pdf but I
can't even remember a site that accepts .rtf.

And just in case you're thinking that times have changed since I've
looked...wrong. This is the advice of someone who's there *now*.
