Change Default View for Advanced Find Results? (OL 2003)

I'll pose the brief question first. If you know the answer to it,
there is no need to read the background (and many thanks in advance!).
The question: Is there a way to configure Outlook 2003 Advanced Find
so that the results always come up with a user pre-defined view (set of
fields) rather than Advanced Find results' default columns? (Or,
better yet, is there a way to permanently reset standard Find to search
only From and Subect instead of fulltext?)

Background:
I liked the fact that standard Find in OL 97 defaulted to searching
From and Subject...took less time than fulltext search, which is the
default in OL 2003. Now, my easiest alternate with OL 2003 is to use
Advanced Find and specify "Frequently Used Mail Fields", which adds a
few new search fields (such as cc), while still avoiding fulltext
search.

Here's the problem: Even after I maximize the search results, I have
to manually customize to add all the fields I am accustomed to seeing
for messages (and that I have set as a standard view for all my mail
folders.) (BTW, It seems odd to me that all the fields searched with
"frequently used" aren't shown in the results.) What I am trying to
find out is whether there is a way to save my customization of the
Advanced Find columns (view only, not results) as a default so that I
don't have to re-customize the view every time. Unfortunately, the
usual option for applying "defined views" is greyed out, perhaps
because the Advanced Find results box is not really a folder. (Of
course, none of this is an issue with standard Find, since the results
maintain the current view...but again, I don't *want* to do fulltext
searching in most cases.)

So any ideas on how to standardize the Advanced Find view? (Or, better
yet, to permanently reset standard Find to search only From and Subect
instead of fulltext?)

Configure your Advanced Find how you want it and, before conducting a
search, use File->Save Search and place it on your desktop. Next time you
want to use this search, then use the shortcut on the desktop to open your
predefined search view.

Hmm...Still furiously scratching...While it *is* nice to have a
shortcut that opens an Advanced Find box with my predefined search
criteria, I still can't see any way to apply a predefined view (as I
could for an Outlook folder). Advice? Thanks.

I think this cements my decision to go back to Outlook 97. Much better
product for a small organization.

Unforch, this does not work. I am using MS Outlook 2003 SP3.
All the "File" menu items except "New" and "Close" are disabled.
They re-enable after the Search has been performed.
So ....
