change default template (Normal.dot)

Hi! I've been searching this information but cannot find it. How can I change
the default word template to one I created?

Only Word can create the normal template. You can copy the styles, macros
etc from your own to the normal template using the organizer, or you can
create new documents from your template.

As Graham says, you can't create a Normal.dot, and you should not try to
substitute a user-created template for Normal.dot. You can customize
Normal.dot in many ways (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CustomizeNormalTemplate.htm), but it
is recommended that you not change it drastically. Better to install your
template in the Templates folder (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CreateATemplatePart1.htm) and use it
as the basis for new documents.
