Change DB default location

BCM (at least for Outlook 2003) looks for its DB in "c:\documents and settings\
user name\local settings\application data\microsoft\business contact
manager\".

Is it possible to change the DB location? I prefer my data files on a
non-OS partition/drive and have not been able to figure out how to make BCM
recognize such a DB storage location. If it is possible to relocate the DB
please advise where instructions can be found.

Thanks in advance.

I recall people discussing ways of doing this in past posts.

Two things to consider are:

(1) BCM rarely cares about where the database file is stored. BCM
talks to sql which in turn uses the database file. So changing the
file's location is mainly a case of sql to use the new location.

(2) One case where BCM does use the database location is setting the
folder permissions so that the sql process has permission to create,
read, and write to files in that folder, although that's a bigger
issue with Vista (tightened permissions) and Sql 2005 (lower
privileges).
