Your post is unacceptable!

X-Complaints-To: (e-mail address removed)

Sorry, Shaw does not have the time and money to investigate a
frivolous complaint about Arthur's quote. This is Free Speech, as he
is in Canada, so **** off about it. Mind your own bloody business!

Not Arthur's style. Most probably a spoofed return address or an
altered post.

Go read the thread so you will understand it.

If you are going to top-post, trim all the groups except for the ****ed-up
microsoft.public ones.

I read it; I understand it. In the year and a half I've participated in
this NG I've never seen Arthur post anything like this garbage. I've
corresponded with him outside the NG and had dialogue on the NG and one of
the things he has done without fail is killfiled pests and responded to even
the worst flamer in a civil manner.

I would have responded to you outside the NG but it appears that you have
listed a phony email address. In addition, it makes no sense for someone
who claims to be making a complaint about a post to be using profanity
yourself! As for the mulitple newsgroups in you headder, I've never
encountered this in my replies to this NG before and was unaware of the
proper etiquette, but it appears that you post across multiple NG's - thus
the headder. As for the etiquette regarding top posting, when I hit the
reply button the cursor appears at the top of the previous posts and inserts
a space to begin typing the response. So sue me!

Bottom line (and bottom posted with the other newsgroups deleted) - This
wasn't Arthur's style. I don't believe it was his post, and if it was,
someone altered it.

Arthur,

Your quote preamble is going to get you into a load of legal trouble.
It isn't cute or funny, and I strongly recommend you alter it
appropriately before someone who has a lawyer on retainer, or who IS a
lawyer takes you down.

A

Arthur Entlich

It certainly is. It is completely misattributed.

I did not write or generate any of it.

It seems pretty obvious.

Art

rest of vulgar idiocy removed.

You are actually mistaken. Misattribution of quotes, especially when it
is considered creating a libelous situation, is clearly illegal, and
actionable. Ask a lawyer.

This quote is completely misattributed and is bogus. I did not write it.

Hi Burt,

Thank you for your willingness to defend my honor ;-)

You are, of course, correct on all accounts. I did respond to the
vulgar and profane quote styles with the part of the message that
"Rebecca" showed as 'her' own comment, which was actually originally
posted by me, word for word.

The posting's attributions were indeed falsified, in a libelous manner.
