CHANGE COLUMN NAMES TO DEFINED NAMES

Is it possible to change the column names from A,B,C,D etc to a defined name
so that when i scroll down a few pages instead of seeing the letters i can
have the headings that i want to give to the columns available. At the moment
on the sheets i am using as soon as i scroll down more than 40 rows i no
longer no what the column headings are PLEASE HELP

not possible BUT you can enter your headers in row 1 and then use
'Windows - Freeze Panes'
