Hi,

I want to save my powerpoint slide as a PNG file.
However it always saves the slide with 24bit colour depth.

How can I change the colour depth to 8bit, so that if I save a slide
as a PNG file the colour depth is 8bit.

Thanks in advance.

This may depend on the PPT version, but if the slide has any 24-bit content,
PPT will save as 24-bit. If you eliminate the 24-bit content from the slide,
you'll get 8-bit (or less) color, depending on what's needed to represent the
slide contents.

Try saving to GIF then converting to PNG or use a batch converter after saving
the PNG to convert to 8-bit.
