Change CD properties to Recordable using a batch file?

Is there any way to set the properties of a CD drive to Recordable using a
batch file?

Not sure if there is a consistent way to do so via command-line. Is it ok to
disable/enable the IMAPI service? If so, you may use the SC.exe
command-line.
