Change background Color in Vista

Alice

Hi all,

Is there a way to change the white background color in Vista? If you click
on programs etc, you see the folders but the background is white. I'd like
to change it to another color.

Thanks for your time,
Alice

if you select the "Windows Classic" design ( the windows98 grey look ) you
can go into advanced options of the scheme and select colours for the visual
elements like one could from win 3.x to 2000.

( the same applies to XP, btw )

As vista Aero and Vista basic use "themes" and the colours are hardcoded
into the themes this is not possible, only "classic" which doesn't use
theming .

It might also depend on "always use classic folders" i.e. "Do not use
previews". but "classic design" anyhow.
